Hello, everyone!

I am the reading specialist for grades six, seven, and eight! This is my fifth year teaching at Our World Neighborhood Charter School, and I am looking forward to a year filled with exciting, memorable adventures, and great achievements among all of my students!

In my classroom resonates an atmosphere of academic asperity, trust, and respect. I am a believer that collaboration and working together are the key ingredients to achieving greatness.

A snippet about me: Some of my interests include listening to music, traveling to interesting places, and learning. My bookshelf is filled with memoirs, mysteries, classics, fiction, short stories, and all of my education books I have collected throughout the years.

As to my educational background, I attended St. Thomas Aquinas College as an undergraduate where I majored in the Natural Sciences, and hold a teaching certificate in Biology. I also graduated from Hunter College with a Masters of Science in Literacy. I deeply value my education, and I enjoy bringing my love of my academic background into the classroom, as well as combining literacy within the content areas to develop strong readers across all subjects.

I am here to help guide each student toward their potential and am looking forward to foster this growth through engaging inquiry-based units, special reading projects, technology incorporated lessons, and an individualized approach to learning. Let's kick off this year with positive attitudes, and a strong belief that with practice and patience we can achieve anything we set our minds to!

Educationally Yours,

Ms. Klein
